Honestly, any time I am with a family who is saying goodbye in death or hello in baptism. I am truly privileged to be considered a part of this. I have been at the death beds of a number of people, hearing many confessions of those within their last hours. Honestly, the most powerful experience I have had was celebrating the funeral of a man who had stopped going to Mass for 40+ years, was diagnosed with cancer, and called for a priest. I had the privilege of helping him make a full return to the Church and to God.

What takes my breath away - the power of God's grace. It can break through a lifetime of sin and be so powerful that one could almost touch it. This is an amazing experience!
