Ask Our Men in Black: Q & A About Our Men In Black Diocese of New Ulm Prayer For Vocations Our MIB Home
I've heard that seminaries can be quite expensive. How do you go about paying for it? Does the government allow student loans to seminarians?

Seminary is not as expensive as one may think, especially when compared to Medical or Law Schools. Still, the cost is up there. That is why you have to have a sponsoring Diocese. While the payment depends on the diocese, almost all dioceses pay for the costs of Seminary (at least all that I am aware of!) Because of this, loans are unneccessary. Contact your vocation director for further information.

While in a college seminary, that may be different. If it is God's will that you attend seminary, though, He does provide! Often, this comes in mysterious ways. Money, though, should never prevent anyone from entering seminary. Again, talk to your vocation director.
