If a priest is scheduled to celebrate Mass (receive the Eucharist) but has either committed a sin or forgot to confess something and is in need of Confession are you able to grant yourself absolution if there is no other priest available at the time?
No, we celebrate the great sacrament just like you do with a priest. We humble ourselves to celebrate the sacrament with another priest for we too, are need of the grace of the sacrament. |
